Agenda for January 6, 2025 Organizational Meeting

  1. Call meeting to order by temporary Chairman and start the tape recorder.
  2. Pledge of Allegiance.
  3. Nominate Chairman (new Chairman will conduct remainder of meeting).
  4. Nominate Vice Chairman.
  5. Appoint employee (not elected officials) and set wages.
  6. Appoint Secretary/Treasurer and set wages.
  7. Appoint Supervisors employed by township as roadmasters and discuss pay to be recommended to the Board of Auditors.
  8. Set bond for Treasurer (was 3 million for 2024).
  9. Appoint legal counsel (currently Philip C Hook).
  10. Appoint one registered elector of township to serve as Chairman of Vacancy Board (currently Richard M. King).
  11. Appoint township residents to fill any vacancies and expired terms on various boards.
  12. Appoint emergency management coordinator for township (currently Norman Lewis).
  13. Appoint a member to the Board of Appeals (currently Mike Salai).
  14. Appoint SEO’s for township (currently Timothy Neil – Alt. SEO Keith Golden).
  15. Select depositories for township funds (First National Bank has all 8 checking accounts; 1 CD at First
    National Bank, CD’s with First National Bank Wealth Management and 5 Savings accounts with PLGIT) Three signatures are required, Secretary & 2 Supervisors.
  16. Establish a regular monthly meeting, location, date and time that Supervisors will meet.
  17. Certify delegates for the State Association’s Annual Convention. Appoint one to serve as the voting delegate.
  18. Set mileage rate for township (currently at .60/mile).
  19. Determine township employee holidays to be recommended to Board of Auditors.
  20. Public Comment on Agenda Items as presented.
  21. Approval of December 31, 2024 minutes.
  22. Approval of December 31, 2024 Treasurer’s Report.
  23. BID OPENINGS FOR 2025 SUPPLIES (Diesel Fuel, Dumpsters, Stone, &Cold Patch)
  24. Business:
    1. Payment of payroll when due, instead of at regular monthly meeting (pay is every 2 weeks on Friday, with pay period ending on Wed.) Transfer of monies from General Fund to Payroll as needed.
    2. Pay any bills due between meetings or with a discount to avoid penalties.
    3. Donation for EMS provider
